Dr. Gpt & Shrooms
In this conversation with ChatGPT, we discuss the confusion and lingering effects of a profound psychedelic experience, especially for someone with a history of spiritual abuse. We explore how to approach these experiences with curiosity, patience, and self-compassion, without feeling pressured to find immediate answers. The journey toward understanding can be slow, but it’s part of the healing process.
Dr. Gpt, Fix My Purity Culture Wounds
In this conversation with ChatGPT, we explore the struggles of understanding and embracing sexuality after being raised in purity culture. The discussion focuses on reconnecting with the body, addressing shame, and learning to communicate openly about intimacy. With patience and self-compassion, it's possible to create a healthy, fulfilling relationship with sexuality on your own terms.
Is It Too Late, Dr. Gpt?
In this conversation with ChatGPT, we dive into the mess of feeling like it’s 'too late' to fix your life, whether it's about missed opportunities, aging, or health. Spoiler: It’s not. We talk about how to ditch the doom-and-gloom mindset, embrace small changes, and stop worrying about catching the 'last boat'—there’s always another one coming.
Dr. Gpt, What Is the Self?
In this conversation with ChatGPT, we discuss how to explain the concept of the Self to someone who has experienced spiritual abuse. Feeling Behind w/Dr. Gpt
In this conversation with ChatGPT, we discuss how to manage intrusive thoughts that make it hard to focus—thoughts like feeling behind in life, wasting time, or fearing it’s too late to catch up. The dialogue explores self-compassion, mindful reading practices, and shifting focus to what’s within your control, all while acknowledging the deeper emotions driving these thoughts.
Intrusive Thoughts
Intrusive thoughts can be unsettling, especially if you've been taught they carry spiritual meaning. But the truth is, these thoughts are just random brain activity—common for everyone, especially in times of stress or anxiety. They aren’t messages from an external source. In therapy, we can work on observing these thoughts without fear, helping you recognize they don't define you or control your actions.
Dr. Gpt: Stupid IFS
If you've experienced spiritual abuse, especially being told your body is wicked or that internal voices are from God or the devil, some therapeutic models like IFS can feel deeply triggering. It’s important to approach healing gently, with trauma-informed care that honors your pace and safety. 🧠💚
I talk with ChatGPT, aka Dr. Gpt about reframing internal experiences, grounding in the body, and moving slowly can create a safe path toward understanding and compassion for our inner world. Healing is possible—on our terms. 🌱
I Journaled… Here It is
I’ve spent years navigating a distorted reality, feeling like something was uniquely wrong with me. But now I see that it’s not wrong—my mind has been protecting me as I shifted, struggling to understand the layers of survival mode that have defined my life. It’s painful, this process of waking up, of confronting the false self I’ve buried so deeply.
There’s no simple fix for decades of dissociation. I wasn’t being stubborn or willful; I just didn’t have the resources or understanding to know what was happening inside me. Now, I’m slowly learning to stop gaslighting myself, learning that it’s okay to question everything I once believed, from religion to my own sense of identity.
What if there’s a way to live that’s not about masking, not about survival, but about being truly here, in my body? I’m starting to find out, and while it’s terrifying to let go, I know this discomfort is the path to something real.
